Providing Clinical Supervision for Texas LPC Associates (Learn More)
I don’t see you as broken, or a diagnosis and a collection of symptoms to treat, but as a complex person trying to uncover a path forward. I’ve studied how we heal, connect, find movement, and release past pain. I want to help you dive deep without getting lost or overwhelmed.
Life often draw us in to a lonely, isolated place where emotions and thoughts threaten to overcome us like relentless waves. There is a natural longing to feel whole, and when we can’t find that path, we feel broken. We are drawn to ask “why” believing it is the path to healing. But often the “why” doesn’t free us. How often have heard yourself say, “I know that, but it doesn’t change how I feel.” That’s because our experiences live in both our memories and in our body; and that’s where healing has to happen.
Therapy offers so much more than just coping skills. It offers a strong compassionate relationship and creates a quiet space for exploration and understanding. I’ll offer you guidance, honest feedback, compassionate support, and a genuine desire to understand your world. I know how to sit quietly and hold space when you need to be heard, and I can bring raw honesty when needed, maybe even dropping a well-placed cuss word to cut through the noise and get real. We may even use laughter to help buffer heartache and find energy, ease, and yes, even peace.

Warm, collaborative, empowering, and creative. Encourages curiosity and exploration while maintaining safety.
Sessions move between talking, somatic awareness, parts work, and reflective exploration — depending on what feels most alive for you in the moment. There’s a sense that the therapy is both structured and adaptive.
What Makes Kimberley Unique
Depth
I’ve been a therapist for over fourteen years and have had the privilege of training with some of the most respected leaders in the field. My work is shaped by deep study and ongoing learning, but just as importantly, by what can only be learned through years of sitting with people in their most vulnerable moments. I’ve come to understand that presence and the permission to be fully human in the room is as essential to healing as any theory or technique.
While training has shaped me in countless ways, some of the most profound lessons about love and healing were gifted to me from outside the therapy room. My first dog, Gus, the epitome of secure attachment, taught me about embracing joy and delight. My second dog Lila, the epitome of avoidant attachment, taught me about resilience, patience, and trust. Among other furry companions, they have been, without question, my greatest teachers and the best guides one could have.
Lived Experience
Who I am is woven into the work I choose to do. I became a therapist to work with adopted people because I knew, from the inside, that adoptees often carry more than anyone sees and are left to sort through our struggles ourselves. I understand how vital a sense of belonging and connection is and the restless search for peace.
When graduated, there were no agencies working with the wounds of adoption and so I started my career at a grief and trauma center. And I am so glad I did. I found an unexpected steadiness working with those whose loved ones had died. I developed a deep, honest presence that felt both tender and grounding. Since then grief, like it does eventually for all of us, become personal. I’ve lost both of my parents and have kept vigil at the bedsides of dying friends and family. These experiences taught me that grief is not something to move past, but something to open to. Grief unravels our sense of self, meaning, and direction; it needs companioning to find our way through. I offer my years of training along with my lived understanding to uncover a way through what feels untamable.
Creative Passion
I grew up in creative communities along the West Coast of California and around the Great Lakes of Canada before settling in Austin some years ago. Though being a therapist is hugely rewarding, I haven’t always been a therapist. I spent years in the corporate world first as a graphic designer, then a UX designer and traveling consultant, finally a Creative Director. Curiosity and connecting to the experiences of others has anchored me in all of these roles.
My own self is most alive when I am creating. I express myself through photography, design, and acting. My favorite thing is to make a moment come alive for others.
For Clinicians:
Being a therapist can be both deeply meaningful and incredibly demanding often in ways we don’t fully realize until we’ve been in it for a while. I’m now offering case consultations and workshops to my fellow therapists. My hope is to create spaces of connection, learning, and support because we need each other to thrive.
Clinical Consultation & Coaching
I offer clinical consultation to support therapists in deepening and sustaining their work. I offer consultation for topics such as: Working with Adults of Adoption, Ethical Dilemmas, “Stuckness” In Session, NARM , Self Care & Boundaries for Therapists.
Coaching for Private Practice
I love seeing therapists launch into private practice and thrive. I also know that we’re not generally taught about the business of opening and running a practice. I’ve been at this for over 14 years and have built a thriving practice that I am truly happy with. I want you to have the tools to do the same. Topics we might discuss: What it Takes to Launch, Refining Your Vision, Identifying Blocks, Financial Savvy.
