If you have ever asked yourself “Where do I fit in?”
If you have ever asked yourself “Where do I belong in the world?” or “Where do I fit in?” you are most certainly not the only one and you are in the right place.
Many of our clients are in the process of self discovery which is a powerful act of healing. Cultural and Generational Trauma leave an imprint on our identity and narratives. It’s the residual ache from historical injustice, war, social upheaval intertwining with personal stories of strength, success, and perseverance. Sadly, the process of finding oneself often puts a strain on relationships. As you shift and change those around you will also have to move and shift. Sometimes it feels as if the more you struggle to find yourself, the more you don’t belong... But you do. There is a place where you belong.
Our counselors offer support as you learn to connect to your true self, make sense of who you are, and find balance between who you were raised to be and your authentic self. It’s a quest for understanding, confronting, and forging a unique identity, both connected and separate from the past. We may not get to choose the pain that we inherit, but we can make the decision to heal from it.
