About Us

We’re not like other agencies in town. We stay small by design, so that you get the focused care you need and deserve.

Started in 2019, Resilience Austin is a counseling collective focused on offering skilled and compassionate care to improve the lives and relationships of our clients. Our founder, Kimberley Mead, created Resilience to support clinicians seeking a way to balance the support and guidance of an agency but desiring the personal and intimate environment that private practice offers. Kimberley’s values for our agency are: attentive and ethical care for those we work with, clinicians who have in-depth training and knowledge of attachment and trauma, an all inclusive and culturally responsive approach, and a focus on deep and long-lasting healing.

Who We Work With…

We work with adults and teens working through grief and loss, childhood trauma and “rough starts” (C-PTSD), difficult/chaotic relationships, life transitions, boundaries, anxiety, people pleasing, and adoption/adopted individuals.

We welcome diverse genders, sexualities, and unique relationship dynamics. We strive to listen, educate ourselves, hold ourselves accountable, and push past our cultural bubble. We work to deliver care that treats each person with dignity, respect, and respect towards culture. We’ll stand by you AND we’ll stand up and do the work needed to create change.

What brings us together…

Our our approach is holistic and relational - engaging both the thinking mind and the wisdom of the body. Those who work at Resilience have a deep commitment towards authenticity, the healing power of connection, and developing their skills through in-depth trainings.

What Sets Us Apart…

  • We tailor our approach to meet your needs and want to engage with you, not just your symptoms.

  • We’re small by design. You won’t be one of many we work with.

  • We won’t throw an approach at you merely because we are trained in it. We know that healing requires us to offer the right intervention at the right time. For this reason, we study both body and mind approaches that seek to engage entire person. This offers you the best path towards creating deep and lasting healing.

  • We don’t rush. We respect that the difficulties you are facing are often deep rooted and will take time, consistency, and dedication on both our parts.

  • We know that our skills and training, doesn’t replace your lived experience. We want to know who you are and how you got here. We won’t assume to tell you how you should be, but rather support you finding yourself and existing with more ease and empowerment.
