ARE YOU A TEXAS LPC ASSOCIATE LOOKING FOR A SUPERVISOR?

Finding the right fit is of utmost importance. Supervision is a relationship that lasts at least 18 months, though usually closer to 2 years. This time is set aside to develop your clinical knowledge, skills, and personal confidence through sustained support from your chosen Supervisor. To help start our conversation, here’s a snapshot of what supervision is like with Kimberley and what she brings to the work. She’d love to hear more about you, your goals, and your vision. • Building a Sustainable & Thriving Private Practice
Many of us dream about opening a private practice, however, school often doesn’t often teach the business acumen needed to do so. Kimberley has both the business experience and creative mindset to offer the guidance, skills, and resources needed to build an ethical, sustainable, and thriving private practice.

  • Resources
Create a sound understanding of HIPAA, writing ethical and efficient session notes, treatment planning, working with suicidality, trauma-informed care, along with other foundational topics.

BACKGROUND: My therapeutic career started in 2009 when I went back to school to become a therapist. I started by journey at Austin’s Center for Grief and Loss and I have now been in private practice going on 12 years.

I haven't always been a therapist. I have a Bachelors in photography and design and worked in the corporate world as a graphic and UI designer, freelance consultant, and a creative director until 2009. Personally, I’m part of the Austin acting community, a talented photographer, a dog momma (they may even join us for supervision), and I created a slightly quirky, slightly tender, card game to help adults talk about death. I’ve learned I am happiest when I am creating.

I value the variety of experiences and backgrounds that people bring with them and strives to provide a supportive environment that encourages both inquiry and mastery. Committed to continuous growth, I regularly attend trainings and actively seek out diverse perspectives and experiences. I will encourage you to do the same.

I view my role as

  • a teacher serving as a sounding board and guide for clinical and ethical issues that arise in therapy. I am invested supporting you as you become a confident, flexible, grounded and respected clinician.

  • a mentor tending to the personal aspects of becoming a therapist, identifying and supporting your areas of growth and self care.

  • a consultant offering educate and help navigate the business aspects needed to manifest your vision towards a full licensed therapist. Having built my business from the ground up and having worked in the corporate world, I offers practical guidance as to the ins and outs of the skills and fortitude needed to be a successful and ethical business owner.
