Providing Supervision for Texas LPC Associates (Learn More)

Our experiences often draw us in to a lonely, isolated place where emotions and thoughts threaten to overcome us like relentless waves. We have a longing to feel whole, and when we can’t find that path, we just feel broken.

We have this idea that knowing the “why”, something we all seem to long to figure out, will free us. But how often have you said “I know that, but it doesn’t change how I feel.” Our experiences live in both our memories and in our body - we must learn to approach healing both logically and somatically.

I don’t see you as broken, or a diagnosis and a collection of symptoms to treat, but as a complex person trying to uncover a path forward. I’m dedicated to studying how the brain heals connection, finds movement, and releases past pain. I know how to help you dive deep without getting lost or overwhelmed.

Therapy offers so much more than just coping skills. It offers a strong compassionate relationship and creates a safe space for self-exploration and understanding. I’ll welcome you with a warm, grounded presence. You’ll receive guidance, honest feedback, compassionate support, and a genuine desire to understand your world. I know how to sit quietly and hold space when you need to be heard, and I can bring raw honesty when needed, even dropping a well-placed cuss word to cut through the noise and get real. When needed, we may even discover some laughter to help navigate your heartache and find energy, ease, and yes, even peace.

What Makes Kimberley Unique

Experience & Connection
I’ve been a therapist for over 14 years, continually deepening my skills through extensive training with leaders in the field. My work is grounded in building meaningful, healing relationships that draw on both professional expertise and personal lived experience. And while training has shaped me in countless ways, some of the most profound lessons about love, healing, and embracing joy came from outside the therapy room, gifted to me by my first dog, Gus. While Lila, my second dog has taught me about resilience and trust. They have been, without question, my greatest teachers and the best companions one could have.

Focus
Grief and adoption are not just areas of expertise for me—they’re woven into who I am. I became a therapist to work with adoption wounds, and along the way I discovered a deep calling to walk alongside people in their grief. I’ve learned that sitting with grief, befriending it, even, is a necessity for healing, yet so few of us are given the space to do so.

As an adoptee I understand from the inside how it impacts our story of belonging and the restless search for peace. As a human I have known profound loss and witnessed how it can unravel a sense of self, meaning, and direction. To me, these two worlds are bound in both layers of loss and love. I bring this lived understanding together with years of training and experience to offer those a I work with a way through what feels untamable.

Creative Passion
I grew up in creative communities along the West Coast of California and around the Great Lakes of Canada before settling in Austin over 25 years ago. My path to becoming a therapist wound through years in the corporate world first as a graphic designer, then a UX designer and traveling consultant, finally a Creative Director. And I’ve now owned my own business for 12 years. Through all these roles, creativity has always anchored me.

I still create art and feel the most alive in my photography, design, and when I can find the time, acting.

Workshops & Consultation For Fellow Therapists

Being a therapist can be both deeply meaningful and incredibly demanding—often in ways we don’t fully realize until we’ve been in it for a while. I’m now offering case consultations and workshops to my fellow therapists. My hope is to create spaces of connection, learning, and support —because we need each other to thrive.
